As the summer season comes to a close, swim suits and shades get packed away and tan lines begin to fade, we wanted to give everyone an update on what our Foster-Schmidt Company girls have been up to! Our girls have been blazing trails, flying across the country and even over seas!
For the 10th summer in a row, our very own Lele spent three weeks at summer camp! She enjoys her independence at camp but also has a great time with fellow campers during daily activities! These activities include horseback riding, tennis, archery, arts and crafts, and drama. However, Lele did not forget her passion for dance over the summer months. She did a solo dance performance on stage in front of the whole camp! We love hearing about her awesome adventures and can’t wait to see what big adventures Lele has in store for this upcoming year!
A trip into downtown Atlanta is good enough for FSDC member, Jenna, as she attended the kick-off concert for Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas’ summer tour! Not only did she go to the concert but had backstage passes and met Demi and Nick! We could not be more jealous! Later, Jenna took a trip to Orlando, Florida for the National Down Syndrome Congress Convention with her friend to promote her card company,”Just For You CardArt”. Stay tuned on more information about Jenna’s booming business, we are so proud to know her!
30,000 feet up, FSDC member, Darby, was taking her first plane ride by herself to visit her grandmother in Ohio. While in Ohio she spent time with her family at the lake as well as attending a minor league baseball game to cheer on “The Captains”! We are so proud of you Darby, where will she fly next?
Our Foster-Schmidt European travels begin with Mary Claire in England! She enjoyed all the tourist attractions London has to offer as well as visiting the rolling hills of Cotswolds and made it all the way to the seashore! But most importantly she loved all the castles and their magnificent ceiling paintings, especially Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle! With all this she also made time for the arts and went to see the Broadway production of The Lion King! A trip fit for a princess just like Mary Claire!
Marina agrees with Audrey Hepburn in that “Paris c’est toujours une bonne idée”, a a good idea it was! Marina wondering around France with fellow students at Johns Creek High School. From Paris, Monaco, Nice and Cassis to Marseille, Marina has seen it all! But of course she couldn’t stop there! Marina’s family all came together for a grand tour of Italy! While we are super jealous of Marina’s adventures, we are proud of her wanderlust spirit (and hope she brought us back some pizza and gelato!)
Even with all their busy lives, some of the Foster-Schmidt girls found time to stop by the dance studio for this summer’s “Bop to the Top” camp where they danced and sang along to the classic Disney movie, High School Musical!
While we loved seeing our girl’s spread their wings this summer, we are excited to have them all back in the studio for this exciting year ahead and we can’t wait to see where the Foster-Schmidt Dance Company will go next!
